On this page I'll provide a little information about who I am and what inspired me to do this research. Most of this information was obtained from talking to relatives, the internet and from good old fashioned footwork to research public records. In the course of doing this research, I've discovered that I have many more relatives than I ever thought possible!
I met a cousin Bev online, we have kept contact via e-mail and keep each other "updated concerning Family Happenings." She also has been tracing the Jante / Jant family Tree and has provided some of the info you will see on this site.
I learned that her branch of Jante's dropped the "e" and became / returned to Jant.
I was Fortunate enough and Pleased to also meet and be welcomed into the home of another cousin Helen that still lives in the home that my GG-Grandparents bought after they came from Germany in 1882.
I began to research my Ancestry in 97~98 because... Neither side of my Family knew very much about our history and lineage..... or, they just weren't talking.
